Yeah...So it is currently 5:01AM and I am quite fucked off. I cannot get to sleep and it is all because I was retarded enough to lay in bed all day and watch 24.
And look what I do...Write a blog about it. Haha. Christ.
What have I been up to? Well, I just finished watching Lost in Translation and I have to admit. I have completely falled in love with it. As well as Scarlett Johansson. What a lovely, lovely film. I think it has shot right up there with my personal favourites of Fight Club, American Beauty and Stand By Me. Something about it which just...I do not know how to describe it. Just gives me a nice emotion. Maybe I can connect to the characters or something, but either way, I love it. Hats off to you, Ms. Coppola.
On a movie note, I have not really been following my A-Z list. While it is still a great idea, I have found it difficult to go through the processes and watch predetermined movies. I shall hopefully have another stab at it in the not too distant future. Instead, though, I have been downloading and watching random movies. A few from the 80s, such as St. Elmo's Fire, The Breakfast Club and so on. What else have I watched recently...Hmm. Cannot think...
BUT. I saw Transformers 2 on Friday night. Holy hot dicks from China. It was insanely good. I went in there expecting a half arse plot, if anything, but wanting action action action. This is what I received. It is like Michael Bay read all the feedback from Transformers 1 and thought, rught oh chaps, let's turn this up to ELEVEN. I think I may go see it again. It's just so much fun, even with those annoying twin robot jobbies. Fierkin' dierks.
I'll leave this for now. I really do want to add more to this blog. Well, I shall try...
Matt.

Cuts and Grazes.
Awk, y'know what. I was about to start a post about my events over the past...Wee while and now I have just realised I need to get a train to Belfast very very soon. Going house hunting you see.
I'll come back and write some shite in a few hours.

Blue Bins and Chimneys
Well...First post of the "summer". It has been quite a while since I have posted, mainly for the following reasons: Revision, actual carrying out of exams, laziness, summer times and gettin' lit.
It has been a mad few days this past week since I finished my exams. Shocking to myself, I felt I performed well in my exams. In the Physical paper I know there was one question I got wrong as soon as I looked at my notes, but I think it is safe to say I have acheived higher than 40%, without being arrogant. So it is all good in the proverbial hood!
From 7AM Saturday it has been non stop. Did some revision before the exam, did the exam, went home for a little bit of a dance for celebrating - On my own, yeah, yeah, sad or what - then on to Botanic to catch a train. As soon as I landed in Bangor it was straight to the nice part of Ballyholme beach. After hours spent there I came home chilled then decided to have a good group of lads come round to my place. Suffice to say we all got horrendously pissed. Roddy got fucked up big time, was hilarious to watch. Which reminds me, that drinking game named "Fuck the Dealer" we played, is probably the best game to play ever for drinking. It is simple and not everyone needs to be tuned in to play 100% of the time.
Sunday was more beach, then pass out when I came home on the sofa.
Monday was more beach, but in Helen's Bay this time. Then I had a BBQ at mine with everybody and then onto the infamous Half Price Wine. Good wee night, some funny photos up on Facebook.
Tuesday was more beach, but in Crawfordsburn this time.
Wednesday was...MORE beach, but mainly swimming. Tom has a couple of friends, Vicky and Sam, over from Glasgow. So we did a little dander about Bangor, got a 7ate9, splashed about on the swans and stuff. Was a nice wee impromtu day. Seems all my brilliant days have been impromtu so far, not complaining!
Fuck, went to see TERMINATOR last night. Fucking AWESOME film. Loved it. Action in it is freakin' superb. I wouldn't mind seeing it again sometime soon.
Saw this image this morning. Thought it was quite hilarious. It hilarious because we all know it is true. Maybe I should actually use the image's advice...
Anywho, haircut at 3:30 then going to Betty Black's tonight to get b-b-boozay!
Cheers,
Matt.

FMLTWIA
Revision is, thankfully, going pretty well. I cannot state whether the hours spent revising and writing notes will actually have sunk in properly into my sponge of a brain, but we can hope. I've been in Bangor Library for a good few hours every day this week, bar yesterday. It is pretty self rewwarding walking out of there with about 12 to 16 pages written out each day. It is like a good, positive cycle: Because I realise I am working hard and producing proper notes and making things worthwhile, I treat myself (often with a 789 sandwich - Bacon, cheese, lettuce, red onions and a lashing of BBQ sauce) then I know I have to work more and more so just keep plugging away. I think it is safe to say this is the first time that I have properly officially revised! GCSEs/AS Levels/A Levels were all a sham. Fair enough I just scraped by to get into Uni to do the course I wanted, but still, actually getting my arse into gear and revising is very rewarding.
I have completed running through all the lectures, bar the last 2 or 3 of GGY1005 (Human Geography module) which I'll work on either tonight or tomorrow's library sesh. I'll chill over the weekend with a spot of revision on Sunday. I'm going to head back up to Belfast on Mondya morning which will mean an awfully early start - I have a Philosophy exam at 9:30 that morning. I genuinely have no clue what to do for this exam and really can see myself walking out early. I'll give it a good go, but I really cannot see myself passing. Strangely enough though, I am not that worried - Which is worrying in itself. Anywho, if I fail, I fail. I'll resubmit essay or something and see what I can do. Cannot wait until next academic year so I can do 3 modules of GEOGRAPHY, not some other random bullshit. I am here to do a Geography degree after all.
In this week that I have been back down in Bangor, I really have not been doing an awful lot apart from revising, eating and watching movies or 24. Man, 24 is awesome. One random night up in Belfast house when Andy was staying over I decided to just download a few episodes, see how it goes - Season 1 this is - and maybe continue watching. It is safe to say, I'm proper hooked. It's quite hilarious watching them use all of the old technology, with big massive mobile phones and shitty looking laptops. Figured it would be best to start from the start and then hopefully work up to the current series...Series 7 I think. That shall occupy a large chunk of my summer!
On the gaming front, I completed Mass Effect about a week and a bit ago, maybe I mentioned that before, can't really remember. But yeah, brilliant, brilliatn game. thoroughly enjoyed the main story line. I think I'll go back and work away at the extra missions for the craic. Cannot wait for ME2. Might try and get a hold of the DLC for ME1, apparently it's rather good. Seeing that I've completed that, I have moved on to Bioshock. Pre-Xbox Profile failure I had about a month ago, I had been doing pretty well with the game. Progressed quite far, but then forgot about it for a while and never looked at it for quite some time. So I figured it would be time to pick it back up and give it a good playing - See it to the end. So far, so fucking awesome.
Oh and I am thinking of starting up WoW again for the summer...
Good idea? Yes or no? Meh. I shan't pay for gaming time, but I think in about a week or so I can get that Scroll of Resurrecion thingy, so might as well use that. Would be good craic to start playing with Foster and Boydo again.
Anywho, dinner is nearly ready and I am fucking starved - That seems to be a problem of mine, not eating enough...Very strange of me.
Anywho, cheers,
Matt.

Theoden
...And so it begins.
That is my first year at Uni over. Teaching done. No more lectures, tutorials, seminars, essays...For another 4 months. Ha. Oh well, 2 weeks until my exams start and end, 25th/27th/30th. ALL of them at 9:30AM which is horrible. AND the last one is on a SATURDAY. I mean, what the fuck. Is that even legal? Any form of academic concept on a Saturday isjust plane insane. Should be banned!
It has been an eventful year. This semester, if not 2009, has been very good to me. The modules I did were pretty damn good. I actually took interest in what I was learning. Last semester seems so SHIT in comparision. I actually wish I was not at Uni and living in Belfast when I think back it was that shite. I think a big factor was the weather y'know. It was always dreadful. Dark, damp, dull...It was quite depressing. Also the fact that the house was always insanely cold and I never had the sense to get a hot water bottle, or extra duvets and stuff. Bah.
Laying in my room with a bit of a hangover. I never had a full blown hangover, but just a little one...And it's lingering. It won't go away. I have brought my sofa right up to my coffee desk, got loads of cushions and blankets and duvets and I am like one big hibernating bear, it's fantastic! I was going to head back to Bangor this evening but could not really be assed with having to get all my shit together and get a train. If JK was driving back I probably would have gone back, but he is not...So...Yeah. Hibernating it is.
Last night was fun, JK, Kris, Andy and I were the only guys out so we all just got drunk and danced like a bunch of dickheads. Got a few photos to upload onto Facebook later...That can be another time consuming task.
Photos, that reminds me. I was meant to upload photos of this really random graffiti that I found while on the way to Uni ages ago...But due to my phone being STOLEN...By some WENCH...Those photos shall not come alive on this page. I shall maybe try get a photo of them again.
Tra la la la la...
Right, I am off.
Matt.
PS: Would really like a cigarette right now, and I do not know why. Also, a nice glass of Lemon Fanta.
